A letter to Babya software users from A.A. Fussy

January 21, 2009

Thursday, 22 January 2009

To all Babya software users,
It’s been quite hard for many companies in recent times, due to the global economic crisis-such as cutting jobs, slashing jobs and closing factories but not for Babya as we are extremely well prepared to deal with this.

So that we can maximize our productivity and release new software more regularly, we have decided to announce that Discoverer 2009 will be released sometime next month, albeit without the Mozilla based view-it’ll still have Discoverer Library.

And Babya PhotoPro 4 will be released in April-which will give us more time to enhance and improve our popular image editor.

Sincerely yours,
A.A. Fussy

OS X on a Netbook-guess that’s Apple legal

Well Wired.com apparently posted a article with a video explaining how to hack OS X to run on a netbook-and that resulted in what appears to be a cease and desist order from Apple asking the site to remove the video.

Of course, we do not know what was exactly in the cease and desist order as it is not made available publically.

Though Babya Logic and Cover Flow videos and apps by us have not been subject to a a cease and desist order yet.

Editing/viewing in Babya photo apps and iPhone/iPod touch images

January 9, 2009

One question that has come out of our iPhone/iPod touch development is:can saved images from these be easily edited in PhotoPro or viewed in BabyaOne View?

The answer to this currently is that we think it’ll be fine for our apps to open images downloaded from these as long as these images are saved to .jpg format.

We’ve haven’t had the time to throughly test this but when we do, we’ll let you know.
